Print Futures provides a new, unique platform for upward mobility in the letterpress community. To date, Print Futures has featured over 20 emerging artists and educators, whose virtual lightning talks and ensuing discussions build bridges, encourage, and support the next generation of printers. Print Futures is co-produced semi-annually by Partners in Print (PiP) and Letterpress Educators of Art & Design (LEAD) .

Originally from Nashville, TN, Maddy Underwood is a multidisciplinary artist, printmaker and designer. In 2019 she interned at Hatch Show Print, and has since worked with a variety of recording artists and bands. With a focus on combining unconventional materials with wood & lead type, she splits her time between printmaking, graphic design, and teaching workshops. In 2021, she was an Artist-in-Residence at Flower City Arts Center in Rochester, NY and a Print Futures speaker with PiP/LEAD. In 2023 she attended the In Cahoots Residency in Petaluma, CA and Directangle Press Residency in Bethlehem, NH.
