Supporting the Art and History of Letterpress Printing

Movable type and printing by hand helps us tell the stories of our country’s past, present and future. Your support of the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum allows us to keep this craft alive by sharing it with our visitors.

The Hamilton Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts and educational organization. Donations to the museum are tax deductible. We rely on the involvement and generosity of individual contributors combined with grants from foundations and government agencies to fund our educational initiatives, public programs and exhibitions.

By becoming a member or volunteer, or providing a financial gift of support, you are helping us achieve our mission. Thank you for making a difference.

WHERE WILL MY MONEY GO?

Your donations will be used for the following:

  • Purchase of shelving and storage containers
  • Purchase of materials to protect and store our archives
  • Cleaning and lighting in the museum
  • Sorting and cataloging the collection

In lieu of a monetary donation you can check out our wish list here.

Corporate and Foundation Sponsors

Hamilton has a strong tradition of working closely with corporations and foundations. We have long benefited from their philanthropic generosity and welcomed their collaboration in program development and outreach. We're grateful to have the financial support of these amazing corporate sponsors: Neenah Paper, Hoefler&Co., Mohawk Paper, Mark Simonson Fonts, Field Notes and Adobe Typekit.

A profound thanks goes to the West Foundation, the Reva and David Logan Foundation and the Windgate Foundation for their support. We couldn't do it without them.

If you are a corporate or foundation representative and would like more information about matching your priorities and interests with opportunities and resources at Hamilton, please email Bill Moran at Bill@woodtype.org.

PLANNED GIVING

If you would like to make a lasting impact on the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum, and future generations of printers, a gift made in your estate plan could be the perfect option for you. This type of charitable gift arrangement allows you to make a gift now or after your lifetime while enjoying financial benefits for yourself and your loved ones.

Please contact Bill Moran at Bill@woodtype.org to discuss a potential gift to the museum.
