Historically, individual dash ornaments were combined into various groupings to produce decorative divider lines between sections of text.
These 3-line dash ornaments were designed by the Heber Wells Wood Type Manufacturing Company, which was acquired by Hamilton. They are cut using vintage patterns on our pantograph by Georgie Liesch, a second-generation typecutter and Hamilton's Master Typecutter. The wood is type high end grain maple, ready for letterpress printing—as dashes or however else you need to!
NOTE: Each wood ornament is 3L high; the ovals are 6L wide and all the others are 5L wide.
