Printer's Wood Type Block: Wayzgoose 2023 Ampersand Block
This ampersand is part of the Unit Gothic Stencil 718 typeface, which was used for the brand identity of Hamilton's Wayzgoose 2023 conference. This typeface--which predates Helvetica and other modern faces--was an intentional choice by GoWelsh, the design firm for Wayzgoose 2023. Predating Helvetica and other modern faces, Unit Gothic Stencil embodies the theme of Wayzgoose 2023: a hearkening back to industrial manufacturing viewed through the modern perspective of graphic design and typography.
