To quoin a phrase - The platen press lock-up.

This workshop will teach students to lock up a chase for platen or cylinder press. Use of the chase, quoins, furniture and tips on proper form imposition will be explored. Tips on type setting to create basic forms will be discussed as well.

Some typesetting experience is necessary. Space is limited, so reservations and a $65 non-refundable deposit are required. The $60 balance is due at the beginning of the workshop. Cash, credit cards and checks are acceptable.

Because of the nature of the pressroom and the pieces being used, participants in the workshop must be 18 years or older. Please complete the registration form below to reserve your place.
