Simple Binding & Folding Techniques Workshop with Julie Baugnet ⎻ April 19

Saturday, April 19 9am⎻4pm Central

Spend a day learning how papers and folding techniques can enhance your book! In this class we'll start with basic folding of accordion formats. At the end of the day, you'll have a portfolio of books to use for sketching, note-taking, and/or journaling.

We will talk about paper—the color, weights, sizes, and textures. Next we'll make a saddle-stitched book, a durable soft-covered pamphlet, and double stitched pamphlet book using the 3-hole binding technique.

In addition, you will learn how to add french-fold flaps, a belly wrapper, and envelopes to protect and enhance your books.
