Paper Marbling Magic – April 11

Join us to create beautiful unique marbled papers that can be used in many ways! 

In this down and dirty introduction to paper marbling, workshop participants will learn the basics of studio preparation and set up as well as the creation of beautifully unique pieces of marbled paper.

We will touch on traditional paper marbling methods as well as basic Suminagashi techniques. You will leave with a desire to do more and dive into the beautiful hole of paper marbling and surface design. Participants will create a lovely bundle of beautifully hand-marbled papers that can be used in many creative ways.

Workshop Cost:
$45 Total

Experience Level:
No experience necessary. The minimum age requirement for workshop participants for this event is 18+.

Instructor: 
Gina Korakian-Melnyk

Gina Korakian-Melnyk was born in Racine, Wisconsin. She received her B.A. from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC where she focused her attention on printmaking and costume design. Gina completed her Masters in printmaking and drawing at Washington University. Since graduation, Gina has pursued her interests in the arts both as an artist and an arts administrator. She has exhibited her work extensively in St. Louis, as well as Chicago, Washington State, New York, Washington DC, and South Carolina. 

The cost is $45 per person, with the museum providing all the materials you will need. The workshop begins promptly at 5:30 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. The doors open at 5:15 pm for check-in or to shop at our retail store.

Space is limited, so registration and a $25 non-refundable deposit are required. The $20 balance is due at the beginning of the workshop. We accept cash, credit card or check. Please complete the registration form via the button below to reserve your place.
