Botanical Monoprints Mini Workshop - September 13

Print a plant!

Make prints directly from plants with local artist and illustrator, Rebecca Jabs. You can bring a leaf, flower, or part of a plant if you have a specific one you would like to print. Note that the plant will be damaged in the process of printing.

Workshop Cost: 
$45 Total

Experience Level:
No previous experience is necessary for this event; we will provide step-by-step instructions. The minimum age requirement for workshop participants for this event is 18+.

 

Instructor:
Rebecca Jabs is an artist and educator from Manitowoc, Wisconsin who specializes in scientific illustration. She works across digital and traditional media to create interpretive artwork and graphics, and her gallery work has been included in exhibitions nationwide. She has been selected for multiple residencies, including Isle Royale National Park, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, and UW-Madison’s Trout Lake Research Station. Rebecca is a part-time drawing instructor at Madison College, and has a degree and background in art education. She attended the Science Illustration Graduate Program at California State University at Monterey Bay and is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.

The cost is $45 per person, with the museum providing all the materials you will need. Space is limited, so registration and a $20 non-refundable deposit are required. The $25 balance is due at the beginning of the workshop. We accept cash, credit card or check. Please complete the registration form at the link below to reserve your place.
