Sandro Berra studied Classical Humanities at University of Padua. He worked as an editor for Italian publishing houses. Since the early 1990s his interest in typography, letterpress, and graphic design turned his passion into his main occupation. Since 2001, he has been the coordinator of Tipoteca Italiana, a private foundation and printing museum, located in Cornuda (the Veneto Region of Italy). Tipoteca holds one of the largest European collections of metal & wood type, casting & printing machines.
