THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL AND REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
Join us for this holiday themed workshop! This is your opportunity to use some of the collection's more unusual blocks and cuts. We'll be pulling out many pieces that are not available in our public workshops. Brad Vetter will be leading the way in this one day workshop. He has 8 years of experience printing posters at the world-famous Hatch Show Print. We will provide stock for both cards or posters, so whatever suits your holiday fancy! You do not need any printing experience to participate in this workshop.
The workshop runs from 9 am until 5 pm. The day starts off with a 45 minute tour of the museum and instruction on how to use a sign press. The majority of the workshop consists of printing with wood type and holiday cuts. Clean-up begins at 4pm and the day finishes up at 5 pm. Lunch is not provided, but there are many options nearby.

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes that may get ink on them. Please dress in layers, since we are in an old factory sometimes our heat is very hot and sometimes it is closer to 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the museum.
The cost is $150 per person with the museum providing ink and paper. Feel free to bring paper of a different size, stock, or color. However, keep in mind that hand made paper is not allowed as it may damage the type.
No previous experience is necessary. Space is limited, so reservations and a $75 non-refundable deposit when you sign up are required. The $75 to fulfill the full cost of the workshop will be due at the beginning of the workshop. Because of the nature of the pressroom and the pieces being used participants in the workshop must be 16 years or older. Please fill out the registration form below to reserve your place in the workshop. If you have any questions please e-mail us at info@woodtype.org or call 920-794-6272. There is a maximum of 11 students per class to ensure that everyone has access to their own press.
