Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum is dedicated to the the preservation, education, production and printing of wood type. “New Impressions” is an international, juried exhibition to showcase exploration and creativity with letterpress printing techniques. From this age-old tradition, we strive to challenge and inspire artists to continue the love of printing. The exhibition reception and awards at Hamilton will take place on June 11 from 5-7 pm. Please plan on joining us for this free event to help celebrate this exhibition.
Following exhibition at Hamilton, the show travels to Design College Australia in Brisbane for a one-month display. We are honored to work with our friends there to share this international exhibition more expansively. The exhibition is on display at Design College Australia August 9–21, 2016.
The exhibition poster for the show was designed and printed by Nick Larson with assistance from Jim Moran and Stephanie Carpenter. It can be purchased at the museum online shop.
