Juneteeth Posters (Ben Blount)

This trio of Juneteenth posters from Detroit-born artist, designer, and letterpress printer Ben Blount was created in the summer of 2020, a time when much of the country became aware of the holiday.

On his inspiration for these pieces, Ben says, "I was moved by the murder of George Floyd to continue telling the story of the ongoing struggle of Black people in America."

These prints are just a few examples of Ben's body of work, which explores race, identity, and history. His books and prints can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Newberry Library, and the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum.

The posters measure 12-1/2" x 19".
