Hi Everyone,
My name is Beth Kowalski and I’m the new executive director of Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum. I want to thank the museum’s Board of Directors for their faith in me as I now bring my nearly 30 years of leadership experience in museums around the state to this wonderful facility in Two Rivers.
The Hamilton museum's founding preserved original tools and equipment for making wood type--the product that launched the Hamilton company in 1880; the Hamilton business went on to transform the commercial printing industry with its cabinetry and supplies. Today, the museum is acclaimed locally and around the world. Along with its interactive programming, exhibits, and demonstrations, the museum is well-positioned for its strategically planned future which has been years in the making with board and staff. This plan is thoughtful and inclusive of all we serve – historians, printers, crafts people, local communities, artists, and guests. Our pledge is to continue to grow and improve the facility for years to come preserving history for creative use today.
I very much look forward to meeting everyone who loves and supports this museum and am proud to lead Hamilton ahead on this journey.
Sincerely,
Beth Kowalski
