Silver Buckle Press

On April 8 a group from the UW-Madison libraries made a trip to Two Rivers. They joined us at the museum for a tour and a printing demonstration in the new location of Silver Buckle Press. After more than four decades at UW-Madison, the collection was relocated to the museum under a long-term agreement between Hamilton and the University of Wisconsin. Tracy Honn, the retiring director of Silver Buckle Press, was here to guide the hands-on printing demo. She hand-set a form using wood and metal type from the collection so that everyone that visited us could take home their own print. It was a fun Saturday of printing and talking type history!
