Join us for our Open House on Sunday, July 10, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This exciting afternoon of activities will include tours of the museum, demonstrations on the pantograph, and poster printing. This event is free of charge and fun for the whole family!
You are welcome to explore the museum independently or participate in a guided tour. Tours are given at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and demonstrations on the pantograph by type cutter, George Liesch, will be given at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Get hands-on and participate in the printing of a poster that includes some of Hamilton’s collection of vintage wood type. Then you can take home your print as a commemorative piece of the event.
Make sure not to miss the work of Silver Buckle Press on display in the gallery. Silver Buckle Press is a working museum of letterpress printing dedicated to preserving the craft of fine printing through educational programming, publications, exhibitions and tours.
We can't wait to see you on July 10th!
