The effervescent and always entertaining Aaron Draplin will be our keynote speaker at our first annual shareholders meeting on July 19, 2014. This event is free to Charter Members and their spouses. There is a $20 fee for anyone else who would like to attend. The meeting will be held at the museum and will include day-long letterpress demonstrations. The museum will open for hands-on printing at 10 am and continue throughout the day. Aaron's talk will begin at 5 pm at the museum. Aaron is the principal and founder of Draplin Design Company in Portland, Oregon and is the creative force behind Field Notes notebooks. With his motto: "I'm not writing it down to remember it later, I'm writing it down to remember it now." Mr. Draplin is sure to tickle your funnybone and poke you in the ribs. This event is sure to be well-attended so make your travel plans now.

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Museum Open for Letterpress Demonstrations
Coffee and doughnuts will be here for the morning crowd. Then letterpress demonstrations with a great team of printers including Brad Vetter of Brad Vetter Design, Bill Moran the Artistic Director of the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum, Ruthann Godollei a DeWitt Wallace Professor of at Art at Macalester College, and Richard Zeid an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Columbia College Chicago. Aaron Draplin will be orchestrating and rubbing elbows all day long. The pressroom will be all set up for a day of printing fun.
1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Guided Tours of the Museum
Guided Tours of the museum with a former employee of the Hamilton Manufacturing Comp. If you haven't been on one of Glen's tours before they are not-to-be-missed!
3 p.m. Type Cutting Demo on the Pantograph with Mardell Doubek
Mardell was a former employee of the Hamilton Manufacturing Comp, where she cut type on the pantograph. She will show how we still cut end grain maple into wood type using original pantographs from the factory. This will also be the beginning of the 3 pm Guided Tour.
4 p.m. Refreshments and Snacks
Grab some true Wisconsin grub, like local cheese, smoked Susie Q salmon, and refreshments
