Unique Stationery Mini Workshop - April 11

Join us for a fun evening of printing stationery! 

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL!

No previous experience is necessary. We will provide step-by-step instructions and all the materials you need. A fun event with friends!

The United States Postal Service designated April National Letter Writing Month! Let’s make our own stationery to celebrate. Everyone loves receiving snail mail, so make something fun to send to a friend. Each workshop participant will get some interesting stamps and be ready to send their letters when they leave the workshop!

No previous experience is necessary for this event; we will provide step-by-step instructions.

Instructor:
Stephanie Carpenter

Stephanie Carpenter is a letterpress printer, educator, and graphic designer. Since 2011 she has worked at the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum, first as the Assistant Director and now as the Program Officer. Stephanie enjoys the tactile nature of letterpress printing and the direct connection to history. She creates posters, installations, and artists' books using vintage wood and metal type and hand-carved blocks on 100-year-old-presses.

The cost is $45 per person, with the museum providing all the materials you will need to create unique cards or letters. We will also be creating DIY envelopes with unique paper, if you have paper you want to turn into an envelope please bring it with you. The workshop begins at 5:30 and ends at 8:30 pm. The doors open at 5:15 for check-in.

Space is limited, so registration and a $20 non-refundable deposit are required. The $25 balance is due at the beginning of the workshop. We accept cash, credit card or check. Please complete the registration form at the link below to reserve your place.
