Description of Process

This piece was letterpress printed in three split fountain layers on a Vandercook Universal I. Printed objects include wood type, metal type, a linocut, found wood, and a scrap of leather mounted onto a linoleum block. The three split fountains required feeding the paper into the press in portrait orientation for one layer and landscape orientation for the other two layers.
