Throughout 2019, 28 posters were created by a diverse group of printers for HAM AT 20. This is a celebratory poster series that honors the 20th anniversary of the museum. Many printers were invited to contribute and others volunteered; all were united by a passion for type, printing and Hamilton itself. The only directive was to include wood type. Design, content & materials were at the discretion of the individual printers/teams. All sales directly benefit the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum
HAM AT 20 was organized by Jennifer Farrell of Starshaped Press, also celebrating its 20th anniversary as a letterpress studio. Jen is artist-in-residence for 2019-2021 and HAM AT 20 is her first initiative with the museum.
The paper for HAM AT 20 was donated by French Paper and Mohawk Paper. All sales directly benefit the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum
Individual posters are available in the Hamilton shop or on the website while they last and catalogs are available to purchase now.
An extremely limited edition of 25 portfolios are available that includes:
- all 28 posters, signed & editioned
- a digitally printed booklet with bios and statements from all of the artists, and a foreward by Jennifer Farrell
- custom paper wrappers
- archival clamshell box
