Artist Biography
Hailing from the Northeast, Cory has spent the last 8 years as a printer, designer, press mechanic, and a makeshift letterpress engineer at Hatch Show Print. Over that time he's made at least a million impressions on thousands of posters for hundreds of happy clients. Through that time he's picked up a few tips, innovations, and tricks to make printing easier, faster, streamlined, or just plain more fun.
Description of Process
Letterpress print using woodtype, wood and metal dingbats, and brass rules and traditional letterpress equipment. Printed in 4 passes using three forms on a Vandercook Universal 3. Pattern was created using a carved brayer utilizing the same form for the first two passes.
