Hamilton Wood Type is proud to announce its new app for the iPad, Hamilton Type Match Game.
Developed in partnership with 9 Rhinos, this memory game will challenge your recognition of wood type faces at a variety of skill levels. Test your memory while learning about the history of American wood type! This game is a version of the classic memory card game where players have to match identical cards that showcase a small portion of the 1.5 million pieces of wood type housed by the museum.
16 different typefaces are highlighted with 4 difficulty levels. Play solo or with up to 2 additional friends.
A fun, simple game great for families as well as type, letterpress, and graphic design aficionados. A portion of all app sales are being donated directly to the museum for the continued conservation and curation of American wood type. The cost is $2.99 and you can purchase it here.
