Join instructor Bill Moran for a fun-filled letterpress and animation workshop where you'll use Hamilton's collection of wood type and ornaments to make your own fantastical 'Letterbugs' creatures. While you work you'll photograph each component and use the photos to create a simple gif animation of your finished printed image.
Instructor: Bill Moran is a third-generation letterpress printer, graphic designer and Artistic Director emeritus of the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. He is a professor of typography and letterpress printing at the University of Minnesota, USA. His Letterbug prints have been exhibited internationally.

Because of the nature of the pressroom and the pieces being used, participants in the workshop must be 18 years or older.
