Specimen No.5 of the Hamilton Wood Type Archiving Program. Designed and printed by the museum using Appleton Coated papers, the museum's exclusive coated paper sponsor. This piece features Hamilton's #235 font, a handsome, high-contrast, italic font that was used widely in advertising during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Appleton Coated in Combined Locks, Wisconsin is the exclusive sponsor. Founded in 1880 they manufacture and distribute the Utopia and Curious Collection papers.
Printed on Curious Matter, an avant-garde paper made with potato starch, in Désirée Red 100 lb cover.
