September 30, 9 am-1 pm

If you've been curious about letterpress, but can't make it to a full day workshop this is the perfect class for you. Spend a creative morning in our classroom pressroom making Wisconsin-themed posters. Each participant will get the opportunity to print up to 12 posters using vintage wood type and blocks. We provide all the materials you need and will even have some cheese, brat, and beer themed designs already set up for you to personalize.
The workshop runs from 9 am to 1 pm and includes a tour of the museum and a 'how-to-letterpress-print' demonstration. In a half-day workshop you won't learn all the details of letterpress printing, but you will get a great introduction to this hands-on process. You'll have experienced instructors leading the way as you print unique posters.
No previous experience is necessary. The cost is $75 per person and all your supplies will be provided. The workshops are not meant for producing resale work. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes that may get ink on them. Space is limited, so reservations and a $40 non-refundable deposit when you sign up are required. The $35 to fulfill the full cost of the workshop is due at the beginning of the workshop. We accept cash, credit card or check. Because of the nature of the pressroom and the pieces being used, participants in the workshop must be 18 years or older. Please complete the registration form below to reserve your place in the workshop. If you have any questions, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 920.794.6272.
